No more starkly white colour scheme for this artist’s website

I have pondered about my website’s starkly white colour scheme for the past months in 2015, and I have decided that it needed some adjustments. I have liked its white modern look but it did not work well for showing off paintings because the white background was too bright causing our irises to constrict. What this means is that less light enters our eyes, thus making the photograph of the painting appear dark. It was an undesirable illusion. To correct this, I have adjusted my website’s colour scheme to one that is easier on our eyes. It retains its modern look, but it is not starkly white.

I think you will like this too.
