The Bend on Red Clay Creek

The Bend on Red Clay Creek. Oil on panel, 8 by 8 inches.

Quick sketch. I purposely left out all my high chroma paint and settled on earth colours. The sun was directly on my panel so I was afraid that the painting would turn out very dark when brought indoors. It was fortunate that it didn't turn out too dark indoors. I would usually make mental notes of the intensity of the sun while mixing. I must have unconsciously adjusted for the bright sunlight on my panel. I was quite please with it.

PS: Sorry folks, this one is not available. I have to figure out a way to trim the right edge off. How does one safely cut an aluminium panel?
