Wildflowers

It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. I’m still very fixated on this quite unassuming looking field. It wants to be heard. In the distant near the line of trees the field will soon become another paved paradise. Here’s to hoping that the open field closest to me will remain a wildlife oasis. It was in this field where I could’ve been trampled down into the ground by a herd of galloping deer. D’oh!

I have been waiting for the wild flowers to bloom in this open field. These are Queen Ann’s Lace which are not native, but they are pretty. I hope the native wildflower seeds that I have scattered in the field will eventually take root. Someday I hope to see a sea of beautiful native wildflowers. Here is to hoping.
