Returned to the Japanese Beetle Field

I returned to what I shall now call the Japanese Beetle field. They were not swarming this afternoon, but they nevertheless were flying about, and they seem to like my straw hat! One of them seemed have plans to do something with my right ear. Anyway, this was a fun plein air painting experience, and nothing bit me. That's good.

This is is the same field where I did the previous painting. That thing low in the field, I believe, is a storm drain. Red Clay Creek is about 100 feet from it, and when it floods, I believe this storm drain is suppose to catch as much of the overflow as possible. I am only guessing. It could be a portal to another world.
